This privacy policy is applicable to the Brandes Investment Partners Contest Portal (the “Contest Portal”) and the underlying contest (the “Contest”).

Communication of information using the Internet or e-mail is not a secure medium and you understand that such communications may be intercepted, altered, distorted, delayed or blocked. You understand that such communications may not be appropriate with respect to personal information. You assume any and all risks with respect to any such communication.

Any personal information (information that identifies an individual) collected by Brandes, operating as Bridgehouse Asset Managers, via our public website, is collected for the purpose of serving our existing and potential client base. Information collected via the Contest Portal is required for the purposes of communication, Contest eligibility verification, award selection and other matters relating to the administration of the Contest. Brandes does not and will not rent, sell or trade any personal information obtained in conjunction with the Contest or through access and use of the Contest Portal to outside individuals or organizations.

When you submit your response online to a question and when you submit writings on a particular topic, we learn your answer, knowledge level or any opinions or information that you volunteer. For quizzes, we may publish results in aggregate on our websites; such aggregated results will not be associated with you personally. We may also use your response to improve products or services of Brandes. Where such response or writings are submitted in conjunction with the Contest, we may use these for the purposes of administering the Contest.

The Contest Portal allows you to register to receive information about our offers on products and services that we believe may be of interest to you based on your participation in quizzes, your completion of online forms or your submission of materials on the Contest Portal. Such registration is not required for participation in the Contest. If you choose to register to receive such information, you may be contacted by Brandes by telephone, email or other means. To stop receiving such marketing communications from Brandes, individuals can contact Brandes’ Privacy Officer via email at: or, in regards to electronic communications by following the instructions and hyperlink included in each such electronic communication.

We may aggregate and consolidate personal information about all Contest participants or visitors of the Contest Portal for research, marketing, administrative and operational purposes. Such aggregated information will be made anonymous and will therefore no longer be associated with you personally or otherwise constitute personal information.

If you or your parent or legal guardian are a client of an investor advisor who does business with Brandes, Brandes may contact such investor advisor in question and let him or her know that you are participating in the Contest and, if you win the Contest, advise him or her of that fact. By participating in the Contest you hereby authorize us to do the foregoing.

Access to personal information is restricted to authorized Brandes personnel, and agents acting on its behalf, who require personal information to administer the Contest or, if you have requested it, disseminate Brandes publications, bulletins and updates. All Brandes personnel and authorized agents handling this information have been briefed on our privacy policy and procedures. Brandes is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of the personal information it collects and the privacy of the individuals who share their personal information. Your information is kept secure via a secure database with restricted access.
